TRANSMAG 2013: HARRY POTTER -The Boy who Lived

For many successful years the seven fantasy books of HARRY POTTER Novels written by J.K Rowling, a famous British author born 31 July 1965, have gained worldwide attention, and won multiple awards. They have been an interesting and the most likely subject to many people of different ages: teenagers, adults and children; giving unforeseen effects upon their life and introduced them into another kind of imaginary world beyond reality.

The story of the books is about a boy named Harry who was raised up by an abusive aunt and uncle from age 1 until age 11 after the death of his parents by a dark wizard called Lord Voldemort. Harry was the only lucky survivor of Lord Voldemort’s powerful spell and was left with a special scar on his forehead. Harry used to live lonely in a small tight cupboard without any friends because his aunt and uncle feared that the neighbors would know there is such a different boy like him; a Wizard in the family.

But, this boy didn't know what a wonderful fate was waiting for him in a new world full of magic, wizards and witches (like him), amazing new creatures, a lot of unique friends and spectacular adventures that  he never imagined even in his wildest dreams. As Harry learns more and more about his true identity, he also learns that he is part of a larger saga, an almost legendary conflict between good and evil, between him, along with his friends and allies, and this greatest Dark wizard of the age, Lord Voldemort. Harry discovers his place in this enormous struggle as his years at Hogwarts go by.

At the beginning of the series, we see Harry starting his new life after receiving the unexpected sudden letter on his 11th birthday from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, run by its headmaster Albus Dumbledore, the letter was delivered by the gigantic half-giant key keeper at the school Hagrid whom within no time become one of Harry’s most faithful, best helpful friends, so as his two best friends ever Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger whom he meets later in the story.

As the events push on, harry, in full amazement, sees himself face to face, and for the first time, with the Dark Lord, or let us say a particular part of him. Getting deeper into the new world, Harry discovers many things about his life, meets new friends, befriends wondrous creatures, encounters people related to his family and goes through many happy, sad, funny and fascinating incidents until, finally, He Ron and Hermione with the rest of their friends, teachers, and all the witches and wizard at Hogwarts School stand against the dark evil wizard in a last enormous hard battle that will decide the fate of the wizarding world.

So if you have the desire to read a novel full of all-great events with moral lessons and a fantastic fantasy, I recommend Harry Potter which in my opinion, is the most remarkable, special, magical novel I have ever read, it is full of adventure and ideal persons. Although, the Harry Potter characters do not exist in the real world, they still represent every great and useful thing to follow which makes us better persons.

In fact, I have learned so much from Harry Potter: the high values, wisdom, loyalty, what true friends are to be like, honesty and how to believe in yourself no matter how the situations were difficult or how far the dream was. Always remember never to give up or let go of hope, even if it was a hazy, distant sort of hope.
